THE ARTIST COOPERATIVE
The Artist Cooperative can be your mentor, your resource, your coach and your go-to for strategies and best practices. We offer a clear path to navigate the maze of options for independent artists, offering customized distribution release strategies. We can create and execute complete marketing and promotion campaigns or provide one-on-one consulting for your release.
In 2017, independent music accounted for 13% of Spotify streaming and in 2023 the percentage doubled to 26%. Independent music now accounts for more than a quarter of all streams on Spotify.
Independent artists are the fastest-growing segment of the global music business and now more than ever, artists need the tools and knowledge on how to market and promote their music in order to build an audience.
Your unique music deserves our unique strategies. The new business of music has flattened the world. Recording, distribution, marketing, and promotion are no longer under the purview of record labels. control and leverage belong rightfully to the artist. We can help you achieve your goals.
On average, 120,000 new music tracks are added to music streaming services each day. 34.1 million new songs were released in 2022, up 12% from the previous year. Amidst the massive number of releases, 45.6 million songs had zero streams.
In the first half of 2024, independent musicians have made up just over 62% of artists with between one million and ten million on-demand streams which represents a 2% increase compared to 2023.
The best way to compete in an oversaturated, disconcertingly competitive music marketplace is to be armed with knowledge. While the barriers to recording and releasing music have fallen away, the complexities of marketing, promotion, and best practices have become more overwhelming due to the myriad of distribution and marketing options. We can evaluate your project and offer practical solutions and a plan. Contact us today!
Global streaming so far in 2024 is showing a 15% increase compared to 2023. The bottom line, streaming is still growing and impacting not only new releases but catalogue as well.
Physical music is still important and growing across every genre. Tiered offerings that target new fans to hard core fan-patrons can generate revenue that can support touring and recording.
Our work is helping independent artists succeed and that starts with an understanding of goals and objectives and a plan. We have a decade of success and have developed practical guides and tools to promote and market your music. We can help you cut through the fog and provide step-by-step solutions to what you need to know to make the most of your release. Contact us today!
